Christopher Sean Reveals: “It Was My Decision to Depart From DAYS OF OUR LIVES”

Tags:

Hot on the heels of Marci Miller exiting the role of Abigail comes news that Christopher Sean is leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES where he has played Paul Narita since November of 2014. The character was introduced as a baseball player who was revealed to be the ex-boyfriend of Sonny Kiriakis and later, turned out to be the son of legacy character John Black. “I want to let you all know from me,” he shared on Instagram, “it was my decision to depart from DAYS. I loved every day I was a part of it and am so appreciative to the entire cast and crew and everyone that’s helped me develop into the actor and man I am today. I will miss each and every one of you.

“This is not goodbye, though, it’s until next time,” Sean added. “I can’t thank all of the fans enough and I hope that I can find another project to keep you entertained with me in the near future. Thank you for always supporting and loving me. You all rock! Stay amazing, my friends. I will never forget my days at DAYS. These were some of the greatest ‘days of my life.’”

The pairing of Sonny and Paul quickly became very popular among DAYS fans, even though he was replacing the equally-popular Will. Unfortunately, Will’s return from the dead ruined Paul and Sonny’s wedding, and then Paul started dating Will, complicating things even further! Although Sean has filmed his final scenes for the soap, due to DAYS’ advanced production schedule, he’ll still air until well into the fall, so there will still be plenty of drama left to come as Will attempts to regain his memories and Leo continues to destroy Sonny.

Sean is as popular with his DAYS castmates as he is with viewers, with Miller tweeting: “If you’ve met him… you know. There is no one like him. He will go and he will prosper and he will humbly love everyone along the way. What an honor to have shared the experience of my last day with him.”

“We will all miss the amazing and talented Christopher Sean in Salem!” tweeted Freddie Smith (Sonny). “Working with him has been a blast and I’ve learned so much from this guy! Wish you and the fam all the love, happiness, and success you deserve! Love you, man!”

While appearing on DAYS, Sean also had a recurring role on HAWAII FIVE-0 as Gabriel Waincroft and was recently cast on the upcoming Disney XD animated series STAR WARS RESISTANCE. A far cry from his first role of a waiter on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL! So while fans will be sad to see the talented actor leaving Salem, they can take heart that they’ll be able to see him in plenty of other film and television projects as his career takes off!
