A Sneak Peek at Catherine Bach’s Return to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS
Chelsea’s life is about to get even more complicated with the return of her mother, Anita! Catherine Bach is returning to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS in the episode scheduled to air on Thursday, August 8. “Mama Duke is back in the house!” Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) shared of a photo she snapped with her onscreen mom between scenes on the Y&R set. “Fun playing with Catherine Bach again today. Stay tuned for what chaos Anita is creating in Genoa City!”
Egan’s “Mama Duke” comment is a reference to Bach’s best-known role, Daisy Duke on the TV classic THE DUKES OF HAZZARD. The actress made her daytime debut in February of 2012 when she made her first appearance on Y&R as Chelsea’s con-artist mother. She made recurring appearances over the subsequent years as she schemed her way through Genoa City, and was last seen in March of 2018 after delivering a farewell video message from Chelsea to Nick on a flash drive.
With Chelsea back in town, it’s only natural that her mom would be following closely behind. Especially since Anita was also romantically involved with Calvin, Chelsea’s husband who recently kicked the bucket under mysterious circumstances!
